Surviving the flood, learning lots, and getting ready for Christmas!

Last weekend was a really crazy weekend! Our electricity went out on Sunday night and then the cable and internet went out also. Our electricity only stayed out a few times, but our tv and internet have been down for a week now. At least we have electricity, bless those in Vernonia and other parts of the coast... my dad went out to deliver a wood stove to someone out in Vernonia, man, it looks like Katrina, these peoples cars were destroyed, their entire basement was destroyed. There were piles outside of peoples homes that the trucks would come along and take to the dump to crush, tv's fridges, etc... all their belongings... so sad. In 96' I lost a few precious things, the water was up 10 inches in our basement then, it was scary, that was our completed, lived in basement, all us kids had our rooms and bathroom, laundry room down there, it was awful. That was nothing compared to what some lost there in Vernonia, our prayers and thoughts are with them, with the holidays and stuff my heart just goes out to them so much!

We have been having "pre-school" at home, Matthew is learning lots and enjoying himself! We are learning letters, numbers, writing, games, songs, we are even excersizing! Here we are cutting out some pictures from a magazine to create different fun scenes, he is such a fun boy! Very creative and imaginative!




Daniel is such our little snuggle bug! He is so happy all the time! He is cutting his top two teeth... all I want for Christmas are my two front teeth.. :) He's been really trying to crawl lately, he does a sort of backward scooch thing, it is so cute, he gets frustrated when he gets stuck, so cute! He is such our eater boy, him and Matthew both lately, though. Matthew is doing well with his growth hormone shots, they give him more of an appetite I think. He has grown a little under an inch and he has had to go up a whole size in shoes! All in all he is doing well with them, Thank you Lord!





It started snowing this morning! Fun! It is already gone but it was fun while it lasted! Matthew gets up and he was like, oh it is Christmas! Let's go to Grandma's for presents! Ha! He got all dressed up and went outside to play!
